Starting today, AT&T’s customers can pre-order a new high-end large Android smartphone on the network of their wireless carrier, namely the LG Optimus G Pro.

The smartphone was confirmed to arrive in AT&T’s offering several days ago, and the company has already kicked off the reservations period for it.

The smartphone is expected to become available at the carrier on May 10, though it will start shipping to those who place pre-orders on May 7, it seems.

The handset is available for reservations on AT&T's website at $199.99 (152 Euro) with the signing of a two-year contract agreement, but users can also grab it as part of the $100 trade-in offer that AT&T announced earlier this week for its customers, and which will bring it down to only $99 (76 Euro).

The LG Optimus G Pro arrives on shelves with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, as well as with a fast 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 (APQ8064T) processor packed inside.

Furthermore, the smartphone was launched with 2GB of RAM and with 32GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space.

The LG Optimus G Pro was made official with a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for full HD video recording, as well as with a front camera for making video calls while on the go.

The specs list of this device also includes 4G LTE connectivity, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC capabilities, GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.

The smartphone also comes with Android Jelly Bean loaded on top, as well as with a variety of exclusive applications from LG, all meant to provide users with an appealing experience while on the go.

“With QuickMemo you can make notes with your finger on any screen to share your ideas. With VuTalk, you can collaborate on the same screen in real time between other Optimus G Pro users,” AT&T notes on its website.

“Now you can double your productivity and fun by simultaneously seeing up to three apps at once. Check your notes while writing an email. You can even adjust the size and transparency of each window and copy and paste from one window to another.”
