Starting today, AT&T customers can purchase the Optimus G Pro smartphone from LG on the network of their wireless carrier, after having been made available for pre-order a few weeks ago.

The smartphone can be seen at the moment on the wireless carrier’s website with a price tag of $199.99 (€153) attached to it with the signing of a two-year contract agreement.

For those out of the loop, we should also note that AT&T has kicked off the sales of two other high-end Android-based devices today, namely the 32GB Galaxy S 4 and the 64GB Black HTC One.

LG’s Optimus G Pro, however, is the largest of the three, courtesy of the 5.5-inch full HD touchscreen display that the South Korean mobile phone maker packed it with.

The mobile phone also arrives on shelves with a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 (APQ8064T) processor packed inside, as well as with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, the new mobile phone sports a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage space, as well as a 3140mAh battery inside, capable of providing users with up to 15.5 hours of talk time.

The smartphone also arrives on the market with a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of delivering a full HD video recording experience, as well as with a front camera for making video calls while on the go.

LG Optimus G Pro offers support for AT&T’s 4G LTE network, as well as HSPA+ with enhanced backhaul connectivity, along with the WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities, NFC, built-in GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.

“The incredibly fast 1.7GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM handles the most demanding apps. You can play games, conduct video conferences without buffering, and switch from app to app without interruption. Experience it all on AT&T's superfast 4G LTE network,” the wireless carrier notes.

Running under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, the LG Optimus G Pro can be purchased from this page on AT&T’s website.
