South Korean handset maker LG has recently confirmed it will launch its next Android flagship smartphone in Q1 2013. Dubbed LG Optimus G Pro, the smartphone has just been announced by Japanese carrier NTT Docomo.

The superphone will be available for purchase in Japan beginning early April for a price that will be disclosed closer to launch.

LG Optimus G Pro will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and a quad-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz.

On the inside, the device is said to pack 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Last but not least, the Optimus G Pro boasts an impressive 13-megapixel rear camera, a stunning 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with full HD (1080p) resolution and a high-capacity 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery.
