Good news for LG Optimus G Pro owners, as the South Korean company has just confirmed it will offer the long-awaited Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade at some point in Q2, 2014.

The information has been confirmed recently by LG India via Twitter’s Direct message feature, as GSMArena points out. Unfortunately, no official announcement has been issued yet regarding the Android 4.4 KitKat update for other LG smartphones.

According to the latest hearsay, LG plans to skip Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for most of its mid-range smartphone and offer users the option to upgrade to Android 4.4 KitKat directly.

However, there’s no telling when exactly these upgrades will be available, though given the latest information regarding the LG Optimus G Pro, we suspect most these highly anticipated updates will arrive in Q2. Stay tuned for more info on the subject.
