South Korean company LG has already confirmed that it will bring its next flagship smartphone, the Optimus G Pro, in the United States.

The handset maker is expected to officially introduce the LG Optimus G Pro in the US on May 1, but for the time being, it’s unclear when exactly it will go on sale.

Obviously, the Optimus G Pro will be available for purchase in other countries as well. Thus, AndroidOS reports that the smartphone has been confirmed to arrive in India sometime in June/July.

Although there’s no word on pricing options, there’s a high chance that the LG Optimus G Pro will be priced at around Rs 40,000 ($735 / €565) outright.

We already know that the LG Optimus G Pro will ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but we expect that the handset maker will offer an Android 4.2.2 upgrade later on.

It is also worth mentioning that LG has recently released a value pack update for Optimus G Pro, which is meant to further improve user overall experience. The value pack brings new features such as Smart Video eye recognition, dual-camera mode and more.

Hardware-wise, the Optimus G Pro will be equipped with a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, an Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB).

Another selling point of the phone would be the impressive 13-megapixel rear camera, which features autofocus, LED flash, HDR and full HD (1080p) video recording. There’s also a secondary 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

The phone’s 5.5-inch True full HD IPS+ capacitive touchscreen display supports 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

Other highlights of the LG Optimus G Pro include: LTE and HSPA support, Dolby mobile sound enhancement, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, as well as GPS with GLONASS and 3,140 mAh Li-Polymer battery.
