LG has already confirmed that it will officially introduce the Optimus G Pro in the United States on May 1, but additional details on availability and pricing have yet to be unveiled.

However, until next week, when LG Optimus G Pro is announced in the US, evleaks has leaked the first press image of the smartphone.

The device in the photo bears AT&T’s logo and appears to be similar to the Korean version when it comes to looks.

In fact, most of the phone’s specs are the same, with the exception of the display. As GSMArena points out, the Korean variant sports a True HD IPS Plus capacitive touchscreen, whereas the US model comes with a Full HD IPS capacitive display.

Aside from that, most of the important stuff is included in both LG Optimus G Pro smartphones. The AT&T Optimus G Pro will ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, along with some kind of “value pack” that includes some additional features.

Hardware-wise, the Optimus G Pro has been confirmed to be equipped with a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The smartphone packs 32GB of storage inside, but Android users will be happy to know that LG has also added a microSD card slot that will allow them to further expand internal memory up to 64GB.

The 5.5-inch display supports 1080 x 1920 pixels resolutions at 400 ppi pixel density. On the back, the Optimus G Pro boasts an enhanced 13-megapixel photo snapper that features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

The smartphone also comes with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, as well as lots of connectivity options, including LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
