14 DAY TRIAL // On Wednesday, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has officially launched the Optimus G smartphone in India, with a price tag of INR 34,500 ($640 / €490).
As AndroidOS notes, the formal announcement comes only days after the handset went up for purchase in the country via a third-party retailer, with a slightly lower price tag attached to it, namely INR 30,990 ($571 / €433).
Optimus G arrives in the country with a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor inside, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, and a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back.
The smartphone runs under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, sports video chatting capabilities, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and the usual set of sensors.
Last week, LG also announced an enhanced flavor of the mobile phone, powered by Android 4.2.2 and set to arrive on shelves in Europe in the near future.
