Mobile phone users in China might soon be able to purchase the LG Optimus G smartphone in the country, as the device has received the necessary approvals from the Industry and Information Technology in China, with model number LG-E975 attached to it.

The smartphone was approved with support for 4G networks in the country, which should make it an appealing device when launched.

However, no specific info on the phone’s release date has been provided as of now, though Blog of Mobile notes that it might arrive on shelves in the first quarter of the year.

Optimus G went official last year with a 4.7-inch screen, a quad-core processor packed inside, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel photo snapper with support for full HD video recording, 16GB of internal memory and Google's Android OS loaded on top.
