LG announced last week it had sold more than 10 million LTE-enabled smartphones worldwide.

The company owes most of the achievement to the fact that it expanded its market to more countries where LTE services are offered.

This is probably one of the main reasons LG continues to push affordable LTE smartphones onto both emerging and developed markets.

LG Optimus F7 is an affordable 4G LTE smartphone that does not make any compromises when it comes to hardware, so customers will get a decent device for a more than decent price.

One of the two LG F series devices unveiled last month at the Mobile World Congress 2013, in Barcelona, the Optimus F7, has just been launched in South Korea.

The smartphone will be available for purchase in South Korea via SK Telecom carrier as LG Optimus LTE III, but we suspect the phone will be launched worldwide in the coming weeks.

For the time being, SK Telecom customers will be able to grab the White version of Optimus F7, but an Indigo Black variant will arrive later this month as well.

As for the specs, LG Optimus F7 presents itself as a solid LTE-enabled smartphone. The phone is equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and packs 2GB of RAM along with 8GB of internal memory.

Users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card. On the back, LG Optimus F7 boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel photo snapper that features autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while on the front there’s a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera for video calls.

The phone’s display is another strong point, as LG added a 4.7-inch True HD IPS capacitive touchscreen screen that supports HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution.

Software-wise, LG Optimus F7 ships with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, integrated with LG’s proprietary UX. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
