South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is reportedly set to bring to the floor at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas two new mobile phones, the LG Optimus Black and the LG Revolution, both of which promise increased performance levels.

Apparently, the company would aim at having the recently launched LG Optimus 2X accompanied by some highly appealing devices during the ongoing year, and the aforementioned pair fits the bill perfectly.

The LG Optimus Black, which can be admired in the first photo attached to this article, should land on the market with a very slim design, being only 9.2mm-thick.

At the same time, the device would pack a 4-inch touchscreen display, a recent article on Engadget notes, as well as a two megapixel front-facing camera most probably the first of the kind in a mobile phone.

According to the news site, all point towards the fact that this Optimus Black would be the same LG B handset that was spotted last month, and which was said at the time to be on its way to make an official appearance at CES 2011.

Among the other known info on this smartphone, we can count the fact that it already received Wi-Fi Direct certification.

Moreover, LG promises that the mobile phone would offer the “power of light,” packed in an “innovatively slim smartphone with the best display clarity.”

As for the second LG device to be unveiled at CES, the Revolution, it is expected to be the company's first LTE (Long Term Evolution) handset that would make an appearance on the airwaves of Verizon Wireless in the United States.

The phone can be admired in the second photo attached to this article. No other details on the phone were made available for the time being, but more should emerge in the very near future, as CES is set to kick off tomorrow.
