Canadian mobile phone users interested in the purchase of a new mobile phone on the airwaves of TELUS in the country can now chose the LG Optimus Black Skype Edition, which was just put on sale with a price tag of $49.99 attached to it. The handset went available at Future Shop and Best Buy, and can be seen on TELUS' website as well here.

Those who would like to purchase the new device on contract will be able to benefit from the aforementioned deal when signing an agreement for a three-year period.

However, other deals are also available for the new device, including a $299.99 one on a 2-year contract, or a $349.99 deal on one-year agreements. Free of contract, the handset costs $399.99.

What the new mobile phone is all about is simple. It is the same LG Optimus Black that was unveiled to the world back in January during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, which comes with an integrated Skype application.
