Although the Optimus 3D has already been launched in the UK, not all carriers have picked the phone yet.

Orange UK is one of the last operators that will retail the LG Optimus 3D, as the carrier has recently added the phone to its 'Coming Soon' webpage.

As expected, the handset will be available for free with select plans that will be announced in due time.

LG Optimus 3D was the subject of a recent announcement coming from the Korean handset manufacturer, which stated that the smartphone will receive the highly-anticipated Android 2.3 Gingerbread some time in October.

Equipped with a fast dual-core and dual channel ARM Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1GHz and complemented by a PowerVR SGX540 GPU, the Optimus 3D is one of the fastest Android-based smartphones available on the market.

In this regard, it is worth mentioning that the handset features dual-channel configuration, which means data transfers take place simultaneously between the dual-core and dual-memory, resulting in consistently faster performance.

Furthermore, the Optimus 3D packs 512 MB RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

However, the phone's main attraction is the 4.3-inch 3D LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

LG Optimus 3D offers users the possibility to enjoy 3D content without the need of glasses, and is one of the first phones to feature 3D technology.

The phone will be delivered with dual 5-megapixel stereoscopic 3D cameras, so users will be able to capture crystal-clear 3D images and record 720p HD 3D videos.

Users can share all the captured 3D content with 3D TVs via an HDMI 1.4 connection using a DLNA Certified device. In addition, users can upload and stream 3D content on YouTube's dedicated 3D channel.
