As we reported earlier this week, WIND confirmed that it will release the Optimus 2X and the entry-level Huawei U6150 some time this week and listed both as “Coming Soon”.

A few days have passed and both phone are now available for purchase at WIND for very different prices.

While the LG Optimus 2X can be purchased for $445 off-contract or as low as $295 on WINDtab, the Huawei U6150 is available for a mere $98 or free on WINDtab.

Equipped with a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1GHz speed, complemented by a ULP GeForce GPU (graphics processing unit), the Optimus 2X promises a smooth multitasking experience.

Those who thought of avoiding the Optimus 2X because it runs Android 2.2 (Froyo), instead of Gingerbread should not be afraid as the manufacturer already confirmed that the upgrade will be deployed at a later date.

Furthermore, the device comes with a 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The Optimus 2X packs 8GB of internal memory, 512 MB RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

In addition, the Optimus 2X boasts a superior 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, as well as a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

In contrast, the Huawei U6150 is an entry-level handset, which comes with Brew OS on board and SRS WOW sound enhancement.

Huawei U6150 has a small 2.41-inches display with 262k colors support and 320 x 240 pixels resolution.

The main highlight of the phone is the full portrait QWERTY keyboard, as well as Qualcomm's Brew OS.

The rest of the phone's specs include: a sub-par 2-megapixel camera, GPS with A-GPS support, 23MB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 8GB).

The phone's 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide users with up to 6 hours of talk time or up to 390 hours of standby time in WIND coverage zones.
