It appears that WIND picked the Optimus 2X as well, after Videotron launched the Android smartphone a little while back.

The phone was spotted with the WIND logo by the guys over at MobileSyrup, which means that the device's launch is imminent.

However, it will be interesting to see the phone's price, as Videotron is currently retailing the Optimus 2X for as low as $199.95 with a monthly service fee of 40$ or more or for $529.95 upfront.

Although there's no word on the phone's release date, rumors say that the LG Optimus 2X might hit shelves via WIND in the next few days.

LG Optimus 2X seems to be one of the best Android smartphones launched by the Korean handset manufacturer in Canada.

The phone has recently been awarded a Guinness Book certification for being the first dual core mobile phone in the world.

Equipped with a dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, complemented by a ULP GeForce GPU (graphics processing unit), the Optimus 2X promises a smooth Internet browsing, multitasking and multimedia experience.

Even though the phone is powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo), LG confirmed that the Optimus 2X will receive its Gingerbread upgrade.

Furthermore, the device comes with a 4-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The Optimus 2X packs 8GB of internal memory, 512 MB RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

In addition, the Optimus 2X boasts a superior 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, as well as a secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

The smartphone provides users with multiple connectivity options, including HSDPA (10.2 Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and GPS with A-GPS support.

The handset's standard 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 400 hours of standby time or up to 8 hours of talk time.
