The smartphone will arrive this fall through various carriers and retailers

Today, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has announced plans to make the LG G2 smartphone official in Canada through various wireless carriers and retailers.

The company has confirmed that the first smartphone introduced under the new "G" Series for premium devices will become available on the networks of Bell Mobility, Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS, Videotron and WIND Mobile this fall.

Additionally, the LG G2 will be up for grabs through retailers such as Best Buy, Future Shop, Target Mobile, Tbooth wireless, The Source, WIRELESS etc. and WIRELESSWAVE.

The new mobile phone was made official last week in New York City with a series of customer-centric innovations packed inside, offering real-life benefits such as an ergonomic design, practical functions and an intuitive user experience.

"In developing the LG G2, we listened to and learned from what consumers were telling us they wanted in a premium smartphone," said Geoffrey McMurdo, vice president mobile communications, LG Canada.

"LG G2 features a unique design with an ultra-thin display bezel and innovative rear key, intuitive user experience and time saving innovations. Through our strong carrier and retail partnerships, our most exciting and ambitious mobile phone, the LG G2 will be available to Canadians nationally this fall." LG G2 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display, a 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory.

Furthermore, the new device arrives on the market with a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with full HD video recording, as well as with a 2.1MP front camera to enable users to make video calls while on the go.

The specs list of LG G2 also includes a 3000mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, built-in GPS receiver, 4G LTE connectivity, and Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system loaded on top. The smartphone will be launched in Canada in Black and White flavors.
