South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has been rumored to have no plans on bringing the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system to the Optimus 2X or G2x devices, and the company has already provided a clarification on the matter.

Apparently, they haven't made up their mind as of yet on whether to deliver the software to these devices or not, but they will make an announcement on this as soon as there is something solid to make official.

At the moment, the mobile phone maker is still testing Ice Cream Sandwich on these devices, and is keen on making sure that the experience its devices will offer after the new OS flavor was installed on them is the expected one.

LG Optimus 2X is still running under the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, and will taste an update to 2.3 Gingerbread in the next several weeks, which means that Ice Cream Sandwich, if set to land on it, is still many months away.
