LG will bring Optimus G to the country in early 2013

Mobile phone users in Taiwan won’t have the chance to enjoy the benefits of LG’s new Nexus 4 smartphone, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Apparently, the decision to not release the mobile phone in this country was based on the fact that Google Wallet and Google Play are not available in Taiwan, which would have made it difficult for users to purchase the device.

Additionally, the upcoming availability of LG Optimus G in the country, which should hit shelves in the local market in the first quarter of the next year, should offset the need for Nexus 4.

For those out of the loop, we should note that LG’s first Nexus smartphone was built based on Optimus G, and that it comes with similar hardware specs, though with a different experience, just as any Google phone has to offer.
