Unlike Samsung, LG isn't a brand manufacturer that’s quick to roll out tablets every few months. The company has released its LG G Pad 8.3 in October 2013 and since then hasn't made public any intentions of launching another tablet.

But the rich data base, that’s Red Dot 21 shows the Korean tech giant might be targeting the kiddie market with a new set of tablet devices. It’s not that surprising, considering that more and more companies are targeting the educational market with their products.

The guys over at Notebook Italia uncovered three new child-friendly tablets manufactured by LG, including the LG KidsPad 2, Kyowon All & G Pad and JP Unite 402.

The filling on the website, says all the tree models are addressed for education, but the first two are designed specifically for the young ones. Let’s start off with the LG KidsPad 2 ET730, a slate that is capable of combining the functionality of a digital device with the old-school pleasure of a real analog toy.

LG has given the tablet an ergonomic shape, one that can be easily handled and will stimulate the kids’ creativity.

Imaginative children, looking at the KidsPad 2, might actually spot the outlines of a kitten, teddy bear or puppy. The tablet’s round shape helps improve the grip, while the fun green, pink paint-jobs are meant to make the Pads agreeable to all children.

Moving on, the Kyowon All & G Pad is supposed to back-up educational processes. Like the tablet we outlined above, this slate is characterized by rounded shapes, bright colors (orange) and a rugged, compact chassis, capable of withstanding bumps and bruises.

The slate features a 10.1-inch screen and is responsive to both fingers and a nib.

The nib is actually a digital stylus designed to interact with particular codes on the pages of some texts (designed areas) and will help encourage the transition between traditional modes of learning to the digital ones.

Furthermore, the G Pad is equipped with stereo sound system, capable of delivering particularly high levels of volume.

Last but not least, we have the JP Unite 402, also targeted at the educational sector, but this time suitable to be used by older students. As most educative slates today, the device boasts a rugged exterior that can withstand drops from a maximum height of 40 cm / 15.7 inches. On top of that, it can easily be converted from tablet mode into notebook by virtue of a keyboard dock.

The JP Unite has a 10.1-inch screen, comes equipped with Windows 8.1 out of the box and pre-installed with Intel Educational Software. Even more, the tablet features a webcam that can perform the functions of a microscope through a particular lens and a temperature sense, reminiscent of Intel's latest educational slate.
