LG shine in its cheaper form. Less money, less shine

There's enough shine for everyone to go around. Some might not afford it, so LG brings their cheaper glow out on the market. LG ME550D is the solution for those who want to own an LG Shine phone but think the phone is way too pricey for their pockets.

LG ME550D is highly similar to the KE500 phone model, with some subtle design changes. The phone has lost some of its glow with the price drop, but not completely and still manages to attract attention through its elegance and style.

This slider follows the same smooth lines of the Shine handset and also uses its highly reflective display, although this time it does not cover the entire front surface. Moreover, the main navigation buttons are normal looking and include the jogwheel that many other devices prefer to use.

LG KE500 will come in highly comfortable sizes, at 97 x 47 x 14.9 mm, one of the best especially when it comes to slider phones. It weighs 90 grams and manages to pack a large number of performances despite its small size.

The handset will bring considerably lower performances than those coming from the LG Shine handset and this should be reflected in its release price too. It has a TFT display capable of supporting a resolution of up to 176 x 220 pixels and 262K colors. The highly reflective screen is what maintains the connection with the Shine line of phones, as the case has lost its metal look.

LG KE500 will also include a 2 megapixel camera and 60 MB of internal memory space. There will also be a microSD card slot for making sure that the user does not have to cram all the personal data on a space which is too small. Other than these specifications, the mobile phone brings only the basic handset features that even the low-end handsets are capable of providing.

LG KE500 works in the GSM network and will be available for North and Southern American markets. The price for it is lower than that of the LG Shine, although it has not been revealed up to now.
