LG has recently launched in Italy the KS10 mobile phone with HSDPA capabilities, one of the selected phones to come with Google applications.

The smartphone comes with full Internet browsing support, providing speeds of up to 1.8Mbps, and also allows high quality TV streaming. It can be used for recording browsed web pages, sorting and capturing images and more.

The handset, also known as JoY is a Symbian smartphone with a slider form factor. It is among the first of LG's phones to come pre-loaded with Google applications, as a result of the partnership between LG and the search engine company.

The applications include Google Maps for mobile, that will enable users to view maps and satellite images, find local businesses or get driving directions; Gmail for mobile, a Java-based app that will provide the user with a faster, more convenient and functional mobile Gmail experience, ensuring that he/she can always check for new messages or compose emails while on the go; Blogger mobile that allows the upload/download of images and text to a blog directly from the cell phone.

The mobile phone's features don't end with the Google applications. It also packs a 2.4 inch color screen, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth for connectivity and a media player with support for the usual files that the user can store either on the phones internal memory or on a MicroSD memory card. The LG KS10 will become available in Italy before this month is over, and start shipping in other parts of Europe as well as Asia by the end of the year, although a specific date was not announced.
