14 DAY TRIAL // Rumors about another mid-range Windows Phone handset coming soon to Verizon Wireless appeared several weeks ago and evidence of its imminent release emerged even last week.
Today, new information popped up online, which confirms once again that Verizon will launch an LG smartphone powered by Windows Phone in the not so distant future.
This time, however, we got all the phone's specs sheet along with the market name. All courtesy to an official brochure published by the folks over at WindowsCentral.
Dubbed LG Lancet, the upcoming smartphone to be released by Verizon Wireless soon will ship with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 right out of the box.
This will make the Lancet one of the few smartphones to run this version of Windows Phone, since Microsoft said that GDR2 update wouldn't be available for all Lumia devices.
The official brochure also mentions that LG Lancet will be equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

The smartphone will also offer microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB). On the back, the Lancet will pack an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there will be a VGA camera for video calls.
The Lancet will come with some unique feature that aren't available on Lumia smartphones, such as Knock On (double tap to wake), QuickMemo, Gesture Shot (front facing camera only), Soft Light for selfies (front facing camera only), Live Shot (LG camera only).
LG's mid-range smartphone sports a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 854 x 480 pixels resolution, as well as 2,100 mAh battery.
The smartphone has been confirmed to feature CDMA LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.
Unfortunately, there are no details on pricing options or availability date yet, but LG Lancet's launch shouldn't be that far now. Stay tuned for more updates on this one.
