Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system will be loaded on a large number of handsets in the near future, and one of them will surely come from LG, namely the LS831.

The new mobile phone was already spotted on WP Bench, which confirmed the fact that it will be based on Windows Phone, although it does not offer too many details on its availability.

Moreover, the new mobile phone made an appearance at the FCC, where it showed support for CDMA band.

This means that LG might be set to bring it to the market on the airwaves of carriers such as Sprint and Verizon in the United States, though the device might be set to arrive on shelves in other countries as well, that's for sure.

There are not too many CDMA Windows Phones available at the moment, and the release of another one is always a good thing, even if there are not too many details available on what the phone will pack in terms of hardware.

For the time being, however, no specific info on when the new device might become available for purchase has emerged, nor on the carrier that might have it available on its network.

The one thing that was rumored on this device, though, is the fact that it might be released on shelves under the name of LG Fantasy (we should note that another LG model, the T130L, was also rumored to sport this name when released).

The LG Fantasy was previously seen in a leaked roadmap from LG, when a supposedly leaked rendering with it made an appearance as well, suggesting that the new device might be featuring the same design as some of the handset vendor's high-end Android phones.

The LG LS831, provided that it will indeed arrive on shelves as Fantasy, should run under Microsoft's Windows Phone 7.5 Mango OS, rumor has it.
