LG Electronics just announced that it will include in the months to come Flatron monitor series a contrast-ratio (enhanced by an embedded DFC technology) which is said to be the industry's highest - 2000:1, informs Hardware Zone. The manufacturer added that its innovative image-improving technology - the DFC - will become the core of various FLATRON LCD monitor series such as LX70, LX52, LX19, LX60, LX82.

LG's DFC technology is said to feature a dedicated 'Smart Function', which analyzes the input image and adjusts the contrast ratio for perfect picture quality, and then automatically sets up the optimum contrast ratio for each image. LG representatives added that this DFC function has been developed especially for displaying dark images.

"LG's lifestyle approach and consumer-oriented strategy in its overall digital display business are highlighted in the DFC technology. LG will continue the trend with the upgraded model unveiled today and position itself as global leader in digital display," said Sang Han Yoon, Executive Vice President and CEO of LG Electronics Digital Display Company.

As LG's DFC operates in 'MOVIE MODE', optimizing monitors for bright movie images and moving images with various brightness levels, it enables users to benefit from an enhanced image characteristics.

"LG's goal is to become the number one in the global display market by achieving USD 10 billion in sales by 2010. To achieve this goal, LG will focus on securing our leadership of technology and new standard," Sang Han Yoon added.

The use of today monitors is much more extended then it was some years ago, as these specific products are no longer used only in 'business circles', but most of all in private homes. This is why every display manufacturer tries to enhance every little detail of its upcoming product, from design to functions.

LG seems to have hit the jackpot, as it has developed a technology which is able to provide a contrast ratio of 2000:1, the highest in the industry. Imagine the revenues for the next quarter, and you'll get the picture of the bright LG future.
