LG KU-580 seems to be a Google Phone after all, as LG has announced that it will also support their apps. It comes as a surprise to see Google bringing this iPhone service to other handsets too and a considerably pleasant one.

LG KU-580 highly resembles the Chocolate model which has managed to bring LG high profit rates in the past. The only difference in design is that this model is a bit wider than the previous one and looks rather bulky.

The Google apps make it possible for this mobile phone's user to benefit from the Google Search, Google Mail and Google Maps services. All these have also been announced to come on the soon-to-be-released iPhone, which makes LG KU-580 look like a more affordable alternative for this type of services, as it will cost only 200 pounds.

"Google's strong search services are just one click away with our phone as we put a hot key that directs users to Google services in a fraction of a second", said LG official Choi Je-wook. Aside from the applications, email and maps services, there is also included the Google search hot key, which proves to be extremely useful.

Other specifications for this phone model include a 2-megapixel camera which is also capable of video calls, due to the 3G performances. Captures and videos are displayed on a 2-inch LCD widescreen. Entertainment solutions are offered through an integrated MP3 player and FM radio. LG also mentioned that this phone comes with a song-writing app. Moreover, connectivity is available through Bluetooth connectivity.

LG KU-580 will be available on the European Vodafone network. At this moment, it is available in Italy and France, while Germany and several other European countries are soon to follow in the near future.
