New and elegant slider

LG has just released a new phone on the Taiwanese market ? the LF KT520. First unveiled by the South Korean company at the beginning of the year, back in February (together with other 11 new handsets), LG KT520 is a mid-end device that looks simple but at the same time elegant, hence it will probably attract lots of fashion-conscious mobile users.

One of the highlights of the new LG is its 3 Megapixel camera with auto focus, digital zoom and video recording. Unfortunately, there's no flash on it, so night-made pictures will surely look pretty bad, but otherwise the camera should offer a good image quality.

The other features embedded by LG in the KT520 are: tri-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) plus HSDPA 2100 connectivity for data transfer speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps, a 2.2 inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels, 262K colors and a 2000:1 contrast ratio, finger mouse, Music player ( with equalizer, background mode and support for MP3, WMA, AAC and AAC+), Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Web browser, email, Instant Messaging, voice command and pre-installed games.

The new slider weighs 100 grams, measures 100 x 50 x 15 millimeters (when closed) and comes with 60MB of internal memory, expandable to up to 4GBs with a microSD or microSDHC card. No word yet on the performances of the 800 mAh batter included in the handset.

LG KT520 can be found on the Taiwanese market for a retail price of 8,990 TWD (almost 190 Euros or 300 USD).

Besides Taiwan, the KT520 is also available in Europe (O2, for example, offers the slider in the UK), and it will probably be released soon in more Asian countries. As for the US, LG will surely not release the KT520 over there, since it doesn't support the North American frequencies.
