A new and improved Chocolate

With all the Sony Ericsson phones launched yesterday, the official release of the luxury LG Chocolate Platinum, also known as the KE800, almost passed unnoticed.

The tri-band mobile phone with EDGE support is an improved version of the original Chocolate, both as design and as functionality. The luxury Chocolate keeps the glowing red touch keypad and the glossy case its brother is famous for and adds some gold or platinum accents that make it stand out from the rest.

A few extra features were also added and now, the LG KE800 boasts an SD card slot for memory expansion, and upgraded 2 megapixel camera with auto focus, night mode and multi burst as well as an FM Radio.

Aside from the added card slot, the KE800 comes with twice as much on-board memory as the original handset, providing 256MB worth of storage space for your music or photos instead of 128MB.

The mobile phone also features a built-in media player with a 5-band graphic equalizer that supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, AAC++ and WAV file formats and several video file formats, Bluetooth for connectivity that allows the user to listen to music via a wireless Bluetooth headset and all the other features the original Chocolate comes with.

Users who are very interested in a mobile phone's design will most likely appreciate this upgraded Chocolate that comes with both good looks and added features.

LG Chocolate fans that were completely satisfied with the design but not the features now have the KE800 as an option. There is no information on when the phone will start shipping at the moment or what price it will be available at.
