LG customers are pretty much accustomed to mobile phones that look great, especially after the Chocolate series that is now followed by the Shine and the iconic Prada phone.
And who says that you can't have both a bunch of high-tech features and a stylish look rolled up in one phone? LG is one of the phone manufacturers who do not believe this, and its WiBro PDA phone, recently presented at the Consumer Electronics Show is the perfect proof for that.
The handset, also known as the
KC1
comes with CDMA EV-DO for high speed Internet and WiFi. Also, since everyone prefers video over audio and TV over radio or music, the phone also packs
T-DMB, enabling you to watch your favorite TV shows anywhere and anytime.
The KC1 runs on the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system therefore all the usual office applications like Word, Excel or PowerPoint will be included as well.
Throw in a 2.8 inch QVGA screen, 2 megapixel camera and an amazing Monahans 806MHz processor, 512MB NAND Flash, 128MB SDRAM and Bluetooth for connectivity and you've got a pretty complete list of the features this phone includes. Not only is it LG most hi-tech handset so far, but there are few other handsets of this type, manufactured by any other company, that surpass it.
The only thing left to worry about would be the battery life, which is bound to be reduced because of all the goodies this phone brings. But with a handset that can do pretty much everything, the battery life is a minor inconvenience. And did I mention the LG
KC1 looks good too? Having said that, we'll just have to wait for this one to start shipping. There is no information regarding either availability or price, but it shouldn't be long until we find out more.
