LG Electronics, one of the largest mobile manufacturers worldwide, has announced the launch of its newest addition in the LG Town series of smartphones. The GT350 is a device focused mostly on the social-networking fans. The effortless connectivity as well as the instant access to social-networking sites like Facebook, Twitter or Orkut make the new GT350 one of the best platforms to keep in touch with friends or family via social groups.

“The LG Town Series is the result of our effort to provide consumers with an exciting on-the-go social networking experience with better connectivity and easier access to the people who matter the most to them,” Dr. Skott Ahn, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said. “Starting with the LG Town GT350, the series will offer instant access to a multitude of social networks, providing users with the kind of smart, smooth integration they have told us they want.”

The device comes with a new user interface designed to optimize the social-networking experience and also features a live social-network feed to receive the latest updates. The GT350's four-row QWERTY keypad with customizable shortcut keys offers a comfortable layout, which drastically reduces the chance of mistyping.

Despite its slide-out keyboard and 3-inch full touchscreen WQVA display, the device maintains a slim profile measuring only 15.9mm. The GT350 also sports a built-in 2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi support, 2.0 microUSB and Bluetooth with A2DP. In terms of data transfer, the smartphone also benefits from a Class 12 EDGE and GPRS. Its memory can be enhanced to a maximum of 8 GB with the use of a microSD card.

According to the Korean manufacturer, the LG Town GT350 is expected to reach Germany, the United Kingdom and Italian markets by the end of the month, followed by other European countries in the near future.
