LG is working to make an exquisite device out of the G4

It’s no mystery that the LG G4 won’t be making a debut at MWC this year, because the company is still actively perfecting the new phone.

Back at CES 2015, an official explained that, when LG rolls out the G4, they don’t want it to be like most handsets on the market.

LG wants to make the G4 unforgettable

The company might be right in thinking so; after all, most flagship handsets expected to arrive this spring include pretty similar specifications like QHD displays and octa-core processors (in most cases this will probably be a Snapdragon 810).

So LG knows it can’t rely only on internal hardware if it ever hopes to make the G4 stand out from the crowd.

According to a report coming out of ZDNET Korea, LG talked a little bit about the upcoming G4 during its Q4 2014 earnings call this week.

Company officials explained that they are actively focusing on design, while the G4 is concerned. So we should expect to see a different-looking flagship come out of LG in the upcoming months.

We weren't provided with any details related to how the design is going to differ compared to the G3, leaving a lot of room for speculation.

Will the G4 come packing different housing materials and will the physical keyboards be placed in an atypical fashion? Who can say at this moment?

Furthermore, LG will also be betting big in the camera department. People love to shoot images using their smartphones, so the G4 might be made to roll with a 20MP advanced OIS unit. Maybe other goodies will be embedded, too.

As for release dates, LG is apparently planning a big launching event in Q2, that most likely will be set up for the G4. The G3 got announced during a similar event which was held in May, so it makes sense the G4 will be launching around that time.
