Rumors about the LG G4 seem to get louder and louder

Earlier today we talked about LG’s upcoming G4 smartphone, which is poised to be quite an impressive device.

Not only will the handset come equipped with potent specs (such as a Snapdragon 810 on the inside) but LG is also actively working to overhaul the handset, design-wise.

We won’t be seeing the G4 make a debut at MWC this year for one simple reason. When it launches the phone, LG wants the G4 to really make a difference and stand out from the crowd. Samsung, Sony, HTC and others will all have similarly specced models out on the market, so LG plans to make the G4 unforgettable.

Will the LG G4 go 2K or 3K?

Previous leaks and rumors have showed the LG G4 will come boasting either a 2K display or an FHD, but given the fact that the G3 has a QHD display, it’s hard to believe the company will go lower on its next flagship.

Now a new leak brought to us by My LG Phones shows us that LG is planning to bump things up in the screen department, as expected.

The G4 was apparently spotted in a Verizon Wireless leaked document going by device number LG-VS999.

A French user also posted a screenshot on the hardware.fr forum which seems to verify the information.

Quite interestingly, the device is shown to boasts a screen resolution of 2880 x 1620 (3K). The report also says that a few days ago the LG H810, which is said to be the LG G4 headed for AT&T, made an appearance in a UA Profile showing a 2560 x 1440 (2K) resolution display.

So could it be that the VS999 is a premium version of the LG G4 that’s going to be landing exclusively on Verizon, while other carriers like AT&T will only be getting the standard version?

All is possible, but we will have to wait until Q2 to see whether this is the case or not.
