Today, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has officially announced that its latest flagship handset, the LG G3, will become available for purchase internationally starting June 27.

The handset was already launched in South Korea, where it managed to attract a lot of users to its side, and is now ready to land on shelves on more markets out there.

According to LG, users in Asia will be the first to enjoy the capabilities that this device has to offer, including those in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

Moving forth, the mobile phone will see expanded availability in Asia, while also being set to arrive on shelves in Europe and the Middle East in July. Other regions will also receive it next month.

The LG G3 was made official in late May with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a Quad HD resolution at a 538ppi pixel density, being the first handset from a leading vendor to pack such a screen.

Moreover, the mobile phone sports a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor inside, and was announced in two versions, one with 16GB of internal memory and 2GB of RAM, and the other with 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM.

Both variants sport a microSD memory card slot for storage expansion, as well as a 13-megapixel camera on the back, with Optical Image Stabilization and support for 4K video recording. There’s also a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Moreover, LG unveiled the new device with the entire range of usual connectivity capabilities inside, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS receiver, as well as with support for wireless charging.

LG G3 runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, while also featuring a great deal of exclusive features and customizations coming from LG itself, such as Smart Keyboard, Smart Notice, and Smart Security, which includes Knock Code, Content Lock and Kill Switch.

"Early indications give us reason to be optimistic that G3 will be as successful globally as it has been in Korea," says Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

"It's quite an honor to be considered the new industry benchmark for premium smartphones but in the end, what really matters is how consumers feel about our latest flagship device because it was their feedback that helped us create G3."

The mobile phone arrives on shelves with a premium-feel rear cover that sports a brushed, hairline metallic look, and which is also fingerprint-proof. It is accompanied by a QuickCircle Case (sold separately) for fast access to frequently used functions without opening the cover.
