Starting today, Australian mobile phone users interested in the purchase of an LG G3 smartphone can pre-order the device on the network of wireless carrier Telstra.

The smartphone will arrive at the wireless carrier only in a Titan Black color flavor, and those who will reserve it until tomorrow, July 30, will receive a special offer on the LG G Watch, or the LG G Pad tablet.

Those of you interested in grabbing the device will find it available on the carrier's website on a range of plans, starting at $70 (€49) per month. On a 24 month term, the minimum total cost of owning the LG G3 will go up to $1,680 (€1,175).

As Ausdroid notes, Telstra’s plans also include the Peace of Mind Commitment, which provides an extra 25GB of data to use in the country above the plan’s data allowance for the first month. Moreover, it also offers unlimited calls, SMS and MMS within Australia, to all standard Australian numbers.

Telstra has also launched the LG G Watch alongside the LG G3, providing users with the possibility of grabbing it either for $259 (€181) up front or on a monthly repayment plan, starting with a $19 (€13.3) upfront payment, followed by 24 monthly repayments of $10 (€7).

One other thing that we should note is the fact that the wireless carrier appears to be ranging only the 1GB flavor of LG G3, the one that arrives on shelves with 2GB of RAM.

For those out of the loop, we should note that LG G3 was made official in late May with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and a 538ppi pixel density.

The handset is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, paired with the aforementioned memory options. It also includes a microSD memory card slot that offers support for up to 128GB of additional storage space.

Moreover, LG G3 sports a 13-megapixel camera on the back, with Dual-LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization and Laser Auto Focus, capable of recording videos in 4K resolution. On the front, it features a 2.1MP camera for making video calls while on the go.

The flagship smartphone is powered by a 3000mAh battery that can deliver up to 21 hours of talk time, or up to 553 hours of standby time.

It also comes to the market with support for 4G LTE networks, as well as with the usual 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, in addition to a GPS receiver. The mobile phone runs under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system right from the start.
