Unveiled earlier this week, LG’s new flagships smartphone, the G3 is already available for purchase in South Korea. However, other countries will get the device much later.

Although the South Korean company did not disclose any details on price and exact release date, some carriers that have already confirmed they will offer the G3 announced timeframes for the launch of the device.

With that in mind, it appears that LG G3 will be launched in Australia no earlier than August. The smartphone will be available through all three major carriers, as well as multiple authorized retailers.

The good news is Android fans and enthusiasts eager to own the LG G3 will now be able to pre-order the flagship smartphone via major retailer MobiCity.

LG G3 is available in Metallic Black, Silk White and Shine Gold color options for no less than $800 (€545) outright. Although the price may seem high at first glance, considering that this is the first smartphone with a quad HD display launched by a major player, it’s actually a great deal.

Keep in mind that while the LG G3 model sold by MobiCity is unlocked and SIM-free, it will not work on all Australian carriers’ networks.

As AusDroid points out, the smartphone is not compatible with Optus 4G+ network (2300 MHz), but it won’t have any issues on the LTE networks of Telstra, Vodafone and Optus (1800 MHz).

According to MobiCity, the LG G3 should arrive in stock in late July, which is still slightly better than waiting for the Australian release that’s set for August.

It is also worth mentioning that MobiCity sells the 16GB model of LG G3, which packs only 2GB of RAM. LG also announced a 32GB variant would be available for purchase, powered by 3GB of RAM, though this model will probably be exclusive to various carriers in multiple countries.

Anyway, LG G3’s main selling point would be the stunning 5.5-inch quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display, along with the impressive 13-megapixel camera that comes with enhanced OIS (optical image stabilization) and laser autofocus.

Aside from that, the smartphone also packs a powerful 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit and secondary 2.1-megapixel camera that’s been especially enhanced to provide users with the ultimate selfie.

LG G3 will ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box and the company’s new graphical user interface that’s been completely redesigned to offer more simplicity.
