LG G3, the latest flagship Android-based smartphone from the South Korean mobile phone maker, is currently expected to become available in India in the middle of this month, after already arriving on shelves on some other markets around the world.

Apparently, the company is also planning an official launch event for the handset for late July, during a press conference set to take place on July 25 in Mumbai, a recent post on GizBot reads.

It’s yet unclear when exactly the mobile phone will be put up for grabs in the country, though it appears that it might actually become available before being officially introduced there.

Various retailers in India do tend to release new smartphones before their makers officially announce them, and LG G3 could suffer a similar fate, though this is only speculation for the time being.

One thing that is certain, however, is the fact that the smartphone is coming to this market, and that it will debut there soon.

Moreover, the aforementioned report also claims that LG G3 mini, a smaller version of the flagship device, will be released in India sometime in the fourth quarter of the year.

This mobile phone model hasn’t been officially announced as of now, but it seems that it is real, and that LG will formally introduce it sooner rather than later. However, it might not arrive on shelves before Q4 this year.

In fact, rumor has it that the LG G3 mini would be one and the same device with the newly announced LG G3 Beat, which was launched in China with a 5-inch touchscreen display.

G3 mini is said to feature hardware specs similar to those of Samsung Galaxy S5 mini, which was revealed to the world only yesterday.

The specs list that LG G3 Beat will land on shelves with appears to be in line with this report, though it remains to be seen whether this will indeed pan out in the end.

For those out of the loop, we should note that LG G3 Beat emerged in China with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory.

Moreover, it popped up online with an 8-megapixel camera on the back, as well as with a 2MP front camera for making video calls while on the go. It is powered by a 2450mAh battery, while running under Android KitKat.

Most probably, LG is set to make the LG G3 mini official within the next few months, and it remains to be seen whether the rumor above will pan out or not.
