Next week, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics should announce a new Android-based smartphone, namely the LG G2.

The device has already been confirmed for a near launch, and might land at around 100 carriers in 2-3 months after its official unveiling.

According to a recent post on Korean site MK News, LG will make this possible by kicking off device shipments in South Korea before the end of August and by making the handset available in the US and various European countries in September.

Furthermore, the upcoming flagship mobile phone is apparently expected to become available all around the world before the end of October.

As UnwiredView notes, LG will certainly be able to strengthen its position on the market if it manages to make the aforementioned move. The company is set to sell over 10 million G2 units globally, it seems.
