LG has upgraded its KnockOn unique feature that has been included in some of its Android smartphones like G2 and G Flex, but the new and improved feature has yet to be added to these devices.

The South Korean company has promised that the so-called Knock Code, an evolution from the KnockOn feature, will be offered G2 owners via an update that will be rolled out worldwide in stages.

After releasing the update in several European countries and North America, the Knock Code update has finally reached India, UnleashThePhones reports.

Android users in India who own the LG G2 may want to check for a small update that should be available for download beginning today. The update is pushed OTA (over the air) and has only 23MB in size.

However, it’s recommended to download it via Wi-Fi in order to avoid any extra charges. Simply head over to Settings / About phone / Update center / Software update, to manually check for the update.

If you, by any chance, have the LG G2 rooted, you should know that you will be able to keep root even after updating to the latest version of Android.

Keep in mind that aside from small enhancements and the Knock Code feature, there aren’t new major changes included in this update.
