LG G2 received its Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in Canada about a month ago, but one of the features that the South Korean company planned on adding did not make it in the final build.

However, LG teased the Knock Code feature that was debuted with LG G Pro 2 and promised that it would be included in the G2 as well via a separate update.

Well, LG G2 owners in Canada will be happy to know that the update is now being delivered to all devices across all carriers, MobileSyrup reports.

If you haven’t been notified of the update yet, you can manually check for software version D803x20f, which is supposed to add the Knock Code feature to your LG G2 smartphone.

The Knock Code is an upgrade of the older KnockOn feature that is now included in all the latest Android smartphones launched by LG. It not only allows users to double tap on the screen to wake up their phones, but it also adds an additional security layer.

Basically, you will be able to set the LG G2’s Knock Code feature to bypass the lockscreen by defining a certain set of taps on the screen that one would need to execute in order for the smartphone to wake up.

Aside from the new Knock Code feature, no other changes seem to have been included in this small update, but even so, the update is well worth it.
