The G2 is one of the most highly praised Android smartphones launched by LG. Obviously, the most popular devices released by LG are the Nexus series made with Google.

Anyway, customers in Australia will probably be pleased to know that LG G2 is now available in their country. The bad news is that the high-end smartphone is exclusive to Optus, so Telstra customers will probably have to wait a bit more until the device reaches their favorite carrier.

According to Optus, the G2 is fully compatible with the carrier’s 4G Plus and 4G networks, which allows more customers to connect to Optus’ fast network at the same time.

Keep in mind that LG G2 will ship with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, but it’s likely to receive an Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade sometime in the future.

It is also worth mentioning that Optus is selling the 16GB model, but LG has also launched a 32GB version of the G2. This is pretty important due to the fact that LG G2 lacks microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Customers who purchase the LG G2 via Optus will also receive a free flip case with QucikWindow access as a bonus. The offer is available while stocks last, so hurry up if you want to take advantage of this promotion. Last but not least, the G2 is available in both black and white color options.

“The LG G2 has received outstanding reviews globally and LG is thrilled to be working with Optus in Australia to bring our latest flagship device to customers on their superfast 4G Plus network.

“G2 comes packed with features that customers will enjoy and these features combined with G2’s sleek design, 5.2” full HD screen and advanced 13MP camera make G2 a true flagship,” said Jonathan Banks, head of mobile communications, at LG Australia.
