South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has already confirmed plans to bring to the market a successor for its last year's flagship Optimus G smartphone, one that appears to have emerged online in a series of leaked photos today.

Said photos, which made it to the web courtesy of @evleaks, are in fact shots of a promo video with the device, and appear to confirm that the device will arrive on the market as LG G2, suggesting that the vendor will lose the Optimus brand for high-end phones, just as rumored not long ago.

Furthermore, the shots unveil back volume buttons on the upcoming handset, supposedly placed there due a very thin design that wouldn’t allow for them to be placed on the side.

What remains to be seen is whether the final device will indeed look as in these shots when announced on August 7, given that no official confirmation on it has emerged until now.
