LG’s second watch got unveiled at IFA 2014

LG is a company that’s pretty new to the smartwatch game. However, in a short time it already managed to produce two smartwatches and is reportedly already planning a third iteration.

Even if LG’s latest G Watch R has been announced, as an effort to woe perspective Moto 360 buyers, the company has not unveiled the pricing for the round time-piece, nor has it said when it will begin selling it.

According to ZDNet Korea (via G for Games), the smartwatch will go on sale in the company’s home court on October 14, so we should expect an international release around the same time.

As expected, the watch will be priced a little higher than the current LG G Watch and the Korean report proves this by saying the device will hit retail shelves in the country with a $330 / €263 price tag.

This doesn’t necessarily mean the LG G Watch R will be sold for the very same price tag in the US, but it’s possible the watch’s rate will be something akin to the Samsung Gear 2 (meaning $299 / €238).

The Watch R runs Android Wear, so it will be getting its updates directly from Google. Back at IFA 2014, we managed to do a hands-on with the watch, but we found it to be lacking the style of the Moto 360.
