The smartphone will arrive on shelves before the end of this month

Today, South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has officially announced a new member of its G Series of devices, namely the LG G Pro Lite.

The new handset arrives on the market with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a 960 x 540 pixels resolution, as well as with a 1.0GHz dual-core MT6577 processor inside.

Furthermore, the handset packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

LG also unveiled the handset with a 3140mAh battery inside, as well as with an embedded Stylus Pen and stereo speakers. At the same time, the device features dual-SIM capabilities, with a dedicated Hot Key.

Furthermore, LG announced the new device with an ultra-narrow bezel, so as to deliver an edge-to-edge viewing experience, and also with a slim design, enabling one-hand grip.

“With LG G Pro Lite, we are introducing a competitive device to the masses in the growing large smartphone market,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

“The market for smartphones with displays over five inches will continue to grow and LG is in a great position to capture these new customers when they’re ready to move up from their current phones.”

The specifications list of this device also includes an 8-megapixel camera on the back, with support for full HD video recording, as well as a front camera for making video calls.

The smartphone is running under Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and packs Bluetooth 3.0, USB2.0, A-GPS, and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity capabilities.

LG G Pro Lite is also said to deliver increased usability courtesy of its included Stylus Pen, as well as great entertainment capabilities, as it also comes with dual speakers for excellent audio performance.

Furthermore, the smartphone packs a practical and convenient UX meant to provide users with all the benefits of LG’s premium G Series, G Pro and G2, the handset vendor announced.

LG G Pro Lite is set to become available for purchase later this month in Latin America in Black and White, and should be released in Asia, Russia, China, India, and the Middle East soon after.
