LG has just confirmed it will officially introduce its next G Pro smartphone in February during Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 trade fair.
The smartphone has been rumored for quite some time now, but LG confirmed the existence of the G Pro 2 only today. It appears that LG decided to drop the “Optimus” tagline from the name of the smartphone, which will be released as LG G Pro 2.
The South Korean company did not offer any details on the smartphone's specs sheet, but rumor has it the G Pro 2 will be equipped with a huge 6-inch full HD (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display and a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
In addition, the device is said to pack 3GB of RAM and LTE-Advanced support. It's also likely to come with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box.
