Good news for LG fans at Verizon, as the Big Red plans to launch a few LG smartphones powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The carrier has already confirmed that it will start taking pre-orders for the LG G3 on July 10 and will put the flagship smartphone on sale beginning July 17.

The second smartphone to be released by Verizon this summer was a mystery until the past weekend when @evleaks provided us with the necessary information.

It looks like Verizon will add the LG G Pro 2 Lite to its portfolio of Android smartphones. The handset has yet to be made official by LG, so the US-based carrier will be among the first to offer the unannounced smartphone.

However, the Big Red will launch the G Pro 2 Lite in the United States under a different name, LG G Vista. We know that it doesn't really awake pleasant memories for some Windows Vista users, but these two aren't related at all.

According to @evleaks, LG G Vista is codenamed LG-VS880, which is why we guessed that this is the unannounced LG G Pro 2 Lite. The smartphone's codename leaked back in March, along with the information that Verizon would carry the LG G3 as well.

Now it looks like both details have proved to be accurate, so Verizon customers looking to purchase a solid Android smartphone for a decent amount may want to take into consideration the LG G Vista when it goes on sale.

Speaking of which, no info or price tag and release date have been provided yet, but there's a high chance that this will only be launched at Verizon after the carrier puts the LG G3 on sale in mid-July.

Unfortunately, there are no details on the LG G Vista's specs sheet either, but we suspect that the smartphone is a slightly downgraded version of the G Pro 2, which is a beast when it comes to hardware.

One thing is certain though, the smartphone should be powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box. Aside from that, we can expect it to have a much smaller display than G Pro 2's huge 5.9-inch full HD (1080p) capacitive touchscreen display.

It will pack at least an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back and a secondary front-facing camera for video calls and selfies.

The LG G Vista will surely be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, though we're not yet certain which model. The G Pro 2 is packed with 16GB of internal memory and 3GB of RAM, but the G Vista will probably feature 1GB or 2GB at most.

It's also worth mentioning that Verizon will also sell a Rubberized Shell/Holster Combo for the LG G Vista, which is said to provide dual protection against scrapes, dirt and daily wear, as well as convenient portability.
