As expected, LG introduced the G Pro 2 smartphone in South Korea. The high-end handset can be purchased via major carrier SK Telekom, KT or LG U+ for no less than 999,990 KRW outright, which is about $935 or €680.

The smartphone won't be available in other countries until March, when LG confirmed it would launch the G Pro 2 in more regions, hopefully for a much lower price.

As Phonearena points out, LG G Pro 2 is more expansive in South Korea than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which is no small feat.

The G Pro 2 ships with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box and packs a powerful 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

It also features a vibrant 5.9-inch True Full HD IPS Plus LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1080p resolution. There's also an impressive 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash, OIS and full HD (1080p) video recording.
