South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics has already confirmed plans to bring a new large smartphone to the market before the end of this month, and some more details on the handset are now available.

The mobile phone will arrive on shelves as LG G Pro 2, the company has confirmed, but it did not provide specific info on what hardware specifications the device will include.

Courtesy of a leaked AnTuTu benchmark for the upcoming smartphone, however, we can now make a better idea of what LG has in store for its users.

According to the leaked info, LG will be packing the mobile phone with a touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution, and previous reports suggested that we’d be looking at a 5.9-inch screen, as gforgames notes.

Moreover, the upcoming handset will include a 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 processor with Adreno 330 graphics, complemented by 3GB of RAM.

LG G Pro 2 will arrive on market with 32GB of internal memory, but no info on a microSD memory card slot has been offered at the moment.

However, the aforementioned AnTuTu benchmark does confirm that the device will be released with the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system loaded on top right from the beginning.

Overall, the new handset appears set to prove a worthy successor for last year’s LG Optimus G Pro, though it remains to be seen whether all of these specs will pan out or not.

The benchmark also unveiled that LG was planning at least three different versions of the handset, with LG F350K and LG 350L supposedly destined for the South Korean market, and LG D837 aimed at the international market.

LG is reportedly getting ready for the launch of this smartphone on February 13 in South Korea, and specific details on its capabilities will be unveiled at that date, so stay tuned to learn the news.
