Good news for Verizon customers, as the carrier announced that, along with the LG G4, it will also launch the G Pad X8.3 tablet.

The Big Red confirmed it would take LG G4 pre-orders beginning May 28, and orders will begin shipping before the smartphone arrives in stores on June 4.

LG G Pad X8.3 will be available starting May 28, both online and in stores, on Verizon Edge for $12.49 a month for 24 months (full retail price $300).

The tablet is also part of a promotion for those who purchase the LG G4, as they will be given the option to buy the LG G Pad X8.3 for only $50 instead of $130 with 2-year activation.

As the name suggests, LG G Pad X8.3 sports an 8.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

It packs a full-sized USB port

The tablet ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. It packs a powerful 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

Even though it will only pack 9GB usable memory, LG G Pad X8.3 features microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB). On top of that, More Everything customers will also receive 25GB cloud storage on Verizon Cloud for free.

On the back, LG G Pad X8.3 has an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for selfies.

LG G Pad X8.3 will also come pre-loaded with some nice LG Apps including Gesture Shot, which allows users to take selfies with a simple gesture, Soft Light, and QuickMemo+.

With the Soft Light feature, the tablet's screen illuminates around the photo preview so users can take well-lit selfies even in low light.

The QuickMemo+ feature allows users to write or draw on almost any screen and schedule memos to appear at certain times.
