For those of you owning an LG G Pad 8.3 tablet and are mulling over Android 4.4 KitKat, we have good news for you.

A tipster informed the guys over at PhoneArena that LG would be skipping the Android 4.2 and 4.3 updates for the device and will go straight for the latest build.

The plan will also cover the rumored LG G Pad 8.3 Verizon model and a bunch of handsets like the LG Optimus F3 too.

The tablet comes bundling an HD WUXGA display with a nifty resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with a 1.7GHz quad-core CPU fitted with 2GB of RAM.

Back when the tablet was launched in Q4 2013, it came running Android 4.2 out of the box, but this will change soon. When exactly, we don't know.
