LG has introduced its LG G Pad 8.3 slate at the IFA 2013, for the first time. Since then, the device has been made available in countries across the world and now the company has unleashed it on the developing Romanian market.

The LG G Pad 8.3 comes sporting just-right proportions so it can allow users to comfortably hold the slate with only one hand. Despite being so portable, the tablet features a very powerful battery of 4600mAh that enables prolonged used of the device. The slate felt extremely light to our hands and as it turned out at 338 g / 0.74 lbs the device is only a little heavier than a newspaper.

The slate features a full HD WUXGA display and a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. LG has slipped a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with a 1.7 GHz Quad-core CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM. LG offers a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front snapper.

The slate runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and comes bundled with some interesting functions like QPair (allowing users to sync the tablet with other devices) or QSlide (allows users to multitask with up to three applications opened at a time.)

Unlike most slates that get activated by pushing the power button, the G Pad 8.3 embeds the KnockON technology which allows to wake the device up by tapping on its screen two times. Definitely something worth checking out.
