According to fresh information coming from Chinese website Zol.com.cn, LG's come back in the tablet sector – the LG G Pad 8.3 has just been given a price tag.

So it looks like the tablet will be available to consumers starting from the very affordable price of $299 / €223. Considering what specs are packed in the slate, it's actually a really good deal.

For those who don't really remember what we're referring to, the LG G Pad 8.3 features an 8.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and two camera – a 1.2 MP frontal one and a 5 MP rear one.

If we dig deeper, we find a 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 SoC, 2GB of RAM and 4,600 mAh battery. Overall the G Pad 8.3 is extremely light and easy to handle even with one hand, as it weights no more than 338 g / 0.74 lb.

With such a configuration and priced so attractively, the new LG slate will surely go on to compete directly with consumer friendly tablets such as the Google Nexus 7 2013 or the upcoming Apple iPad Mini 2.

Customers can hope to see the slate rolling out starting this October across 30 country countries. This includes North America and some parts of Europe, Latin America and Asia.
