Those present at the MedPi 2014 tech event in Monaco got a chance to lay eyes on LG’s recently announced trio of G Pad slates that come in 7-inch, 8-inch and 10.1-inch versions.

Now the folks over at AndroidCentral have managed to do a hands-on with the tablets, showing us what we can expect of the plastic-y triad.

The three models are the successors of last year’s LG G Pad 8.3 which has received a lot of positive feedback from reviewers and customers alike.

LG’s new tablets will probably compete directly with Samsung’s recently unveiled trio, the Galaxy Tab 4, because their specifications are very similar.

Although LG hasn't officially outed the specs, we can tell you the devices offer 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, draw life from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor fitted with 1GB of RAM and run Android 4.4. KitKat out of the box.

LG is also throwing in two cameras (5MP on the back and 1.3MP webcam in front), microSD card reader and 16GB of internal storage.

The company will bundle the tablet with its own forked Android interface, the Optimus and a bunch of extra features, including Knock Code that prompts the tablet to wake up from sleep or QPair 2.0, for connecting the slate to a smartphone.
